Swap your HD-DVDs for Blu-rays!

Red for Blu
Warner Bros. has a program that lets you trade up all those old dusty HD-DVDs you bought back when you thought Red was going to win and that your Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on was the shit. They’ll let you trade up to 25 titles…INCLUDING The Ultimate Matrix Collection! Yes!! I just couldn’t make myself spring for the whole collection a third time this close to buying the last one, so I’m looking forward to having them send me the Blu-ray collection as a trade up instead.
It costs 4.95 for most titles, but The Ultimate Matrix Collection is $15 which is still a lot better than 80 clams. And as a big ol’ bonus, you get to keep your HD-DVD discs. They only ask you to send in the paper inserts, or in the case of TUMC, you send in the paper that was attached to the back of the box set. Nice.

I still want that Ultimate Matrix Collection. I believe iNetvideo has a great deal on it. Buying it and the trade-up cost would still make it worth my while. Thanks to your picture I know I can trade up my 300 and Training Day. Cool!

Man, The Matrix was one of the most stunning of the HD-DVDs that I bought. So crisp and clear. I was actually looking forward to popping it in and watching it again pretty soon, but now I think I’ll just wait until the Blu-rays show up so I can peep them. From what I remember, they used the same transfer for the Blu-ray version so I’m guessing they’ll be pretty awesome.

Sent my inserts in last week. I’ll let you know how long it takes for the blu-rays to arrive. I wish Universal would do something like this, I have some great Universal titles on HD-DVD that I’d like to trade up.
