Hackintosh Parts List…

Gotta love it...
Here is the list of parts I used to build the Hackintosh. GelohPig, TeLeKiNeSiS and PhiberOptiks based their list off of this one and made minor changes in places that wouldn’t impact the OS install process (much.) It’s a pretty damn good starting point for a Hackintosh that can grow over time…say, by adding a quad core proc
And with a price point of around 280 without hard drives it doesn’t break the bank.

GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard – Retail 52.99
Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor – Retail 72.99
BFG nVidia 9400 GT 512MB Video Card 50.00
I OC’d mine to 3Ghz with stock cooling and it runs great. With 2 IDE drives and a SATA DVD burner in it everything runs good, but adding an additional 500GB SATA drive caused the BIOS to reset my OC settings. I’m thinking I might be pushing the limit of what this PSU can handle so I’m probably gonna order a 500w PSU next week so I don’t have to go back to running the system @ 2.5Ghz
